FUNDRAISING BASICS

  1. Plan Ahead
Planning ahead makes life so much easier. Leaving things to the last minute means losing out on the best times/venues and making more work for yourself.

  2. Get Everyone Involved
Fundraising is too big of a job for a few students to manage alone. Get everyone involved!

  3. Partner Up!
Get help from other committees and clubs in your school and community.

    • In school: Student Council, OSAID, Social Justice, SAA, Prom committee, Healthy School Committee, Safe Schools Committee, Leadership Committee, Teachers, Principals, etc.
    • Community: Parents, School Council and Local Businesses (sponsorships, donations, etc.)

  4. Set a Target
Set a fundraising target amount. (Remember that you will have ticket sales to help with costs).

  5. Duplication
Be aware of other events in your school and community. You may be able to advertise together and get more bang for your buck. On the flip side, if you’re competing for the same audience you may loose out.
