Fundraising Basics

Fundraising is an essential part of your Grad. Here's how to survive fundraising and have a fun time doing it.

1) Plan Ahead
Planning ahead makes life so much easier. Leaving things to the last minute almost certainly will make you look like a goat, to say nothing about losing all the prime event times, losing out on great venues and doing all the work yourself. Sounds like hell? It is.

2) Get everyone involved.  It’s their Grad!
Fundraising is too large a job for a few students to manage alone. Everyone should help out.

3) Partner Up!
Don’t forget that there are many people in and outside of your school who can help. Get help from other committees and clubs in your school and community.
  • In school: Graduation and alcohol awareness are right up their alley! (Think promotions and volunteers.) Work with Student Council and peer helpers to reach their goals and yours cooperatively.
  • Out of school: Parents can really help you with fundraising espeacially with planning and running of events. Local businesses can sponsor your Grad.
Show Us The Money!

The best fundraising ideas come from YOU, the students.  So please be sure to send us your ideas and we’ll be sure that your brain waves get shared with other schools looking for money making ideas.
