Alcohol and Other Drugs Don't Mix!

Bodies don’t like it when booze and medications are dumped in at the same time. Mixing medication with drugs can cause vomiting, headaches, cramping, etc. Some combinations can even stop breathing. Some medications won’t work as well as they're supposed to if you drink alcohol while on the medication. Always check with a pharmacist or doctor before mixing any medication with alcohol

Booze 'n' Drugs

See “Ecstasy” for information about what happens when you mix alcohol and ecstasy. Taking stimulants like cocaine or amphetamines after drinking alcohol will give people the idea that they are sober…and trust us, they aren’t. Drugs like cocaine and amphetamines will just make you more wide-awake and more hyper – they won’t make you more sober. Researchers now think that alcohol makes the body absorb the cancer causing chemicals in tobacco and cannabis more quickly. If you drink and smoke you may be more likely to get cancer of the mouth, neck, or throat (gross!)

When it comes to alcohol and other drugs, the best advice is: Don’t Mix.
